Lina Rather
Lina Rather is a speculative fiction author from Michigan, now living in Washington, D.C. Her short fiction has appeared in venues including Lightspeed Magazine, PodCastle, and Shimmer Magazine. Her debut novella, Sisters of the Vast Black (Tordotcom, 2019), is about nuns living in a giant slug in outer space and was shortlisted for the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award. The sequel, Sisters of the Forsaken Stars, will be published in 2022. When she isn’t writing, she likes to cook overly elaborate recipes, study history, and collect cool rocks.
